Greetings from the Desert Duck blog. I think we're taking the same Master's program, but I'm just in my first class. One of my team members has also been abducted by aliens -- probably the same space ship. Another doesn't believe in popping in on weekends -- even though each team project is due on Sunday night. And guess who's the Learning Team Coordinator? Yup. It isn't pretty. You have my deepest sympathies.

AG and Ami, me too - looking for help in this class. I hate the online u's teams. Last class I had four people, and two of us were totally dead weight.

funny to find while i'm trying to write my paper for the same damn class. No help for me, but very interesting. I hate the teams, someone always has an excuse at the last minute of why they couldn't get their portion done.

Excellent article - I really appreciate your knowledge about Out-source, In-source, or Self-source in Software development and I have bookmarked it for later viewing and forwarded it on.

Cheers.

"That way the dialog keeps moving and I don’t have to deal with 20 different people answering the same question the same way, a mind-numbing exercise."

I often wondered how the facilitators feel about this, too. I hate when we are given a discussion question and not only do people answer it the same way, but the replies, Oh The Replies! Sometimes I wonder whether or not we are getting a degree in “Word Smyth”. The way the replies re-state (in agreement) what the commenter already said, just in a different way. (JUST TO RECEIVE CREDIT) There are very few instances when the discussion is good, and it usually occurs with the rest of the sheep-ple are responding to tell me how insensitive I am or thinking I’m just a little too harsh! I don’t necessarily feel that way; I am just so tired of hearing the same thing over and over and over and over again. Sometimes I post extreme views just to get a rise out of others and see how they respond. Not only that, it provides me with some entertainment, if you will, to break up the monotony. I sit and read and chuckle and try to defend what statements I post, just to see if I can and to see how far I can take it. I do believe if I hadn’t found this outlet, then I too would be in the same state of affairs as you. So in closing, I offer my sympathy to your plight.

Sincerely,
Understand You
